Unfortunately almost all insurance does not cover ABA. If you're in a state with an insurance mandate it might be slightly easier but even with the mandates, there are so many loopholes and situations where the mandate doesn't apply that it's still hard to get anything covered. I don't mean to discourage you but this is something that everyone here has probably struggled with at one time or another so we feel your pain. Have you looked into services provided by the state?

We now have the Affordable Care Act and any policy purchased on the exchange must cover ABA. The problem is going to be finding a provider who will take the coverage. Also, now MD Wise (Medicaid) will cover ABA. If you have any questions, just let me know. I have a list of insurances and providers for ABA Therapy.

CIGNA is crap. but go online and print out the autism pamphlet (i forget how i found it but its a pf on thier website) it will explain what exactly they will cover. there are enough other options at least there was when i ptinted out the 2011 version. i havent looked at the new one that was set to come out late last year. but ive already handled the situation that i needed it for.
