Would definitely recommend Omega 3 supplments/gummies.

I took Omega 3's all throughout pregnancy and nursing and gave DD them from the time she was weaned. I then bumped up the dosage after her diagnosis. Didn't make any difference, but I figure it's good for her cardiovascular system if nothing else.

Thank you for your feedback. Our little guy loves fish. Over a hunch we started omega 3 in the high dose (lowest dose limit in the trial given) we found a dramatic change in his vocabulary, communication and eye contact overnight. We have kept the dose ongoing. He is 4.5 years old hence it make sense that his body may potentially respond better as growth is happening in a good rate. He is also taking multivits. He still has his sensory issues, but we are working on it. I think we should look at the childs height and weight and consider adequate doses of whatever supplement we intend to give. All the best parents!

Our biomed dr. recommends 2 Coromega packets/day. Each packet has 350 mg. EPA and 250 mg. DHA. So the total daily dosage is within the range listed in the link.

Omega-3 wasn't a big wow for us unlike MB12/methyl folate or even removing milk, but did see clear efficacy in the beginning (improved eye contact which he does still have). There is some limited research on omega-3 in ASD context. If interested in other medical or alternative approaches (such as omega-3), check out this recent reviews done by various ASD researchers and a few practicing physicians.

It was at the lower end of the doses mentioned in the study (which is still quite high). We saw improved eye contact mostly. There is a prescription version of omega 3 bonded with PS called vayarin in the US which is low dose and prescribed for ADHD. Would like to try that instead but not available where we live.
