Has anyone with a son experience there child having to take testosterone shots or Estrogen pills for medical reasons?
I have looked into it and had hormone levels checked on my 12 year old son. His behavior was so bad back in the fall and would come out if no where. It was normal at the time. But out ped was willing to check the hormone level and help us if they would have been abnormal for his age.
Never heard of that one either. I would be VERY uncomfortable with giving testosterone or estrogen to a child. If it were me, I would be getting a second and probably third opinion from respected doctors before going down that road.
Never heard of that. There are lots of different types of steroids used for different reasons (mostly to reduce inflammation) in ASD context but not heard of testosterone or estrogen being used in kids.
