My 4 Year Old Son Is Sick All The Time. Terrible Immune System. Are Other Parents Struggling With This?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

Constant colds, sinus infections and stomach flus. He has literally been healthy less than a week since Christmas. He receives supplements and organic, healthy food. He started preschool in September so the germs are everywhere but when I discuss this with the other parents of the children in his class, they are not seeing nearly as much illness as we are experiencing. We have had his blood tested and the doctor showed us how his zinc, vitamin D and other germ-fighting antioxidants are very low… read more

HAVE HIM TESTED FOR IMMUNOGLOGULIN DEFICIENCIES> MOST ARE TREATABLE> THE ALLERGIST CAN RUN THESE . My 18 year old was diagnosed as having IgA deficiency at age 4. He has chronic sinusitis, 7 sinus operations so far. WE just kept him at home for school, away from kids and germs. The IgA count should be like 625 and last month his was 6. If he has immune problems, get a good immunologist, and there are lots of ways to treat them. We take antibiotics more often, and for longer periods than most, and he does pretty well. If you have any questions, feel free to email me. Bethy

My son has IgA deficiency. He had to be taken out of school because his immune system could not fight germs. He has been a homebound student for 7 years and LORD willing will graduate high school in @6 weeks. Try to find an immunologist(usually in practice with allergists) and get them to run some tests. Good luck.

My little one seemed to be constantly sick when she was a baby & toddler. She got all sorts of infections that my older two kids never had. Our pediatrician suggested high-dose probiotics but those didn't really help. We also tried Oil of Oregano and Grapefruit Seed Oil but those didn't help either. Our biomed dr. mentioned low-dose naltrexone but I wasn't comfortable with using pharmaceuticals. Ultimately what helped was just getting older.

Please don't yell, but my son was 200% better after his Dr gave him a flu shot. He was cold free for almost 6 months. For us it seems to work.

My son is 3 and is constantly sick. He is also on supplements but I haven’t seen much of a change in his immune system. He just got over being about 2 and a half weeks ago and he is sick again.
