Try the "Find Parents" tab or the "Find Provider" tab above. You can search by zip code or city name.

I live in Flower Mound, a northern suburb of Dallas. We are in the Lewisville ISD. I have a 10 year old son who will be in 6th grade this fall. He's attended his elementary school since 3rd grade (we lived in Virginia until we moved back to Texas in the summer of 2011). He has autism and has always been full inclusion with pull out support for various subjects and speech. I also have a daughter in kindergarten. She was in special ed pre-k through the school district for speech and she continues to have an IEP due to speech and some other learning disabilities. We have been very happy with the services our kids have received and feel the teams that work with them are great. I have regular communication with them, mostly through email, but whenever I have felt an in person meeting was needed they were always more than willing to have a meeting. They listen to our concerns/needs, etc. I am not sure which part of Texas you are looking at, but I feel very confident in recommending our neck of the woods and our school district. :)

I also have a very close friend who is a special ed teacher in the Carrollton-Farmers Branch district, also a northern suburb of Dallas. She works more with kids who are on the more severe end of the spectrum. She loves her kids and loves her job. She is very knowledgeable and she really goes to bat for her kids. Yes, she's a close friend, but I have talked with her about her job and my kids and know that she is a good one.

I grew up in Dallas (lived in Virginia for 6 years). I'm happy to help with any questions on our area, if it would be helpful to you.

Best of luck!
