I moved from NYC to Fl and my kids have made a lot of progress. They speak and socialize more.I didn't have problems getting services for them and the process was real smooth. Teachers and therapists are always in contact with me regarding my kids progress. I do not have to be in top of them for a meeting because they are always in communication with me. In NYC (my experience) they were a pain in the ***. My kids really enjoy having a house with backyard so they can go play, jump, run without the neighbor downstairs complaining about it. Even my husband who had doubts at the beginning says this was the best decision we made for our kids. They are happy!! That is why I said Depend of what it is more important for you: kust To get more services for them or To see the whole picture(Services, sorroundings, recreation, communication). As a psycholigist told me: "If mommy and daddy are not ok, kids are not ok too". God help you take the best decision. Be blessed.

Im in FL and Im thinking of moving to NJ because it has one of the best ASD schools available in the US. While I LOVE my home state of FL, I would recommend that you stay in NJ for the benefit of your ASD child.

You might be making a mistake here, NJ is 100 times better than FL, in fact NJ is one of the best states for ASD.

Not only are the schools bad in FL but medical is not much better, if you are going to move there Children's in ST Pete is the only good medical care and the doctors there told us they were still 20 years behind the north in ASD.

On top of all this the state pays nothing for services. People might think I am being negative because I always comment badly on FL but I lived there and it was horrible. Here in the north it is much much better
