My 3 year old started a preschool program at the end of September. It is at a Child Development Center with both neurotypical kids and kids with varying degrees of special needs. She goes 3 days a week. Last week on Thursday when my mom picked her up she kept mentioning "someone new". On Friday when I went to drop her off she was hesitant to go in the classroom and said "I scared". After a few moments she went in and seemed to join in without issue. I would say yes, it sounds like she is a bit overwhelmed and stressed about school, her new routine etc. Maybe before her school show her pic of it and explain to her she will be going to school etc. Sometimes this type of thing helps with transition if they know what to expect.
