Has anybody tried the glueten free/ casein free diet for your autistic kids and if so did you notice improvement in your child's speech/ behavior?
Yes but a regular pediatrician is unlikely to do it since they don't know this specific test. Would need to see a MAPs doctor. Below is the test that we did.

It is simpler just to try the diet as that is the real test.
I have done gfcf. I did not see improvement with my son's speech. But it is different for everyone.
We tried casein free for a short while, noticed he was upset about the restriction (denying him macaroni and cheese when that was his favorite food) I'll admit he may have been "detoxing", but I also noticed he was a happier kid once I let him have the milk products again. I pick my battles...that one wasn't worth it.
Can the pediatrician do the testing?
Only saw significant improvements with casein free. Not much with gluten free. We did test positive for casein peptides but not gluten peptides later.
