Methyl B12 Nasal Spray
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi! I have been super researching vitamin B12 for my 3 year old son. He is verbal but still delayed and has some social interaction delays. Do I need a prescription to begin the spray? Can it be at all harmful? Has anyone saw changes in their children after using the spray. I know the injections are superior but not sue if it's for us. I don't even know where to begin on all this. He has no guy issues, eats super duper healthy, and is potty trained. Any advice from parents would be wonderfully… read more

You don't need prescription for the MB12 nasal spray. The nasal spray was harder to administer for us than the shot (son hated the spray) and while it is much superior to oral absorption, it is less effective than the shot. We only saw changes with the shot. We couldn't try nasal spray long enough as our son disliked it so much.

We saw mostly language improvements. With every shot, our son would start talking a lot more. More longer complex sentences. The effect lasted only a day though, so we switched to shots every other day. Some parents do daily. It works great for about a third of the kids.

Our biomed dr. does the spray for kids who cannot tolerate the side effects from the shots. It's less effective but some kid just get too hyper from the shots and tolerate the spray better.
