This may be rather long but I am curious on what else I should be doing because I feel I am missing something...So far Carter was diagnosed with ASD by a developmental Ped, he has an appointment at the Center for Autism to discuss treatment and develop a plan. I have also applied for MA and our SSI is on Monday. Is there anything else I should be doing? He is currently in therapy five days a week between speech, occupational and special instruction. Thoughts/Opinions and Advice please.
thank you for the input. I will definitely look more into it.
I was hesitabt about starting my son in "the diet" as he has some dietarian reatrictions flr a kidney condition, but ended up doing it because he had to many episodes of diarrhea.
so it may be a correlation, and not a cause. But since we started he slowly started saying words... and has progress enormously. So i would say tongive it a try. Is not as expensive as some people say if you do your own cooking.
What is a special needs trust?
Set up a special needs trust you'll need to contact an attorney that's qualified to do that
Thank you everyone for the help. Currently we receive services through Elwyn (for children 3-5)every day of the week and we also do things ourselves. He has made so many improvements. I haven't tried the diet so does anyone know more details, like what does it do or change. As for ABA I found somethings that sound interesting and hoping our service coordinator helps us with that. I do think the Center we are trying to get Carter into offers that. Again I appreciate all the help and advice.
