ABA Therapy/teacher
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

Good morning, I posted my question a few weeks ago and received great positive feedback which I used; however the ABA teacher is still leaving 30 minutes early every day. As suggested by others on this site, I spoke to the teacher and asked her to maybe add a extra goal to his program because we had sufficient time. Although we spoke and she is aware that I realized she leaves 5 days a week 30 minutes early, she continues to do so. He is suppose to receive 10 hours a week for 5 days. Her hours… read more

Just ask the therapist - something like... Hey, I've noticed that you seem to only be at my home for 9 1/2 hours, but we had agreed that you would be here for 10 everyday. Is there something that I'm missing? It's really important to me that my child maximize early intervention hours because I know they payoff in the long run". You're very fortunate to be getting these services - I don't believe most people are able to get ABA at no/low cost. But, I'm sure that someone somewhere is paying for them, so you should have the same expectations as you would if you were paying the $100/hr out of pocket - make sure to hold them accountable.

If you've already confronted her, then she knows. If she's continued to not care, get someone new. Also let the company know why you'd like to get rid of her, get her lazy but in trouble.

I would find a new facility that provides ABA therapy. This sounds like it's on going and they don't seem to care about the importance of a child recurring as much ABA as possible. I think you would have better luck going to a privately owned facility.
