Traveling With A Weighted Blanket
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

I'm traveling to Charlotte, NC from Ft. lauderdale and I'm not sure if I should take my daughters weighted blanket. It's only 3 lbs, but I'm only taking one suitcase and I'm flying by myself. It helps her sleep. We've only had it for a month. We'll be there for a week.

I would say Yes take it. You will be in an unfamiliar place which may set off some behaviors so having her blanket may comfort and calm her down at night or even during the day. It may also help keep her calm on the plane when you are flying.

We took my son's tent with us every time we slept in a different place. It helped so much that we were able to sleep at night knowing he was sleeping and wouldn't get up in the middle of the night.

Let us know how things went.
