When Did Your Child Have Their First Meltdown? What Was It Like?

My daughter had a couple prev to say that calmed away after 30-1hr. Sat. Forgot to pack lunch.. 1hr late feeding her. She started crying hard. So hard she passed out twice for a few seconds each time just to awake & cry again. I rushed got her a meal within 5-10mins she was my baby again. One word 4 me. SCARED. I will never forget to have back up food 4 trips AGAIn......

My son is now 16, his meltdowns began before age 2 and were very traumatizing. He was non verbal and frustrated to say the least! We implemented a picture schedule at age 3 with the help of an ABA therapist. This gave him and us a lot of help and improved the frequency of meltdowns and the severity.
