Has Anyone Had Poor Vestibular Processing Diagnosed? My Daughter Has A Need To Constantly Move, Roll, Wiggle Her Legs.
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have noticed a need to not be still in my daughter and am wondering if it is more than ADHD. she is constantly rolling around the house to move from one place to another. When I sat in on one of her specials class at school (music) she couldn't keep her legs still.

One of my boys has it diagnosed and the other I suspect has it too. Constant moving. Not a lot of sitting still. The one with the diagnosis recently started seeing an occupational therapist for it. Can't tell if that's helping yet. The OT also gave us a sensory diet for home, but my son refuses to do much of stuff on it. You may want to consult a book called "The Out of Sync Child" which talks about how to help children with vestibular processing issues and other sensory issues.
