I am trying to locate a dentist for the girls. I would like to help my daughter as the previous autism dentist we had is no longer available to us. Does anyone have suggestions? The twins are 15 years old high and and low functioning and one is non.verbal.

Ps. I retread your post and I didn't see anything about SSR's that I thought you had mentioned. I might have looked at another post while I was answering you. I apologize sincerely for any error. I am glad you got some more suggestions.
Hi. It is so hard when we try to get the help our kids need and have to go crazy looking for one. On the home page of MAT there is a tab that says providers, Search there and then go to AUTISM SPEAKS and any local Autism sites in your state and they will usually ask for your ZIP so they will know where to look. CALL A UNIVERSITY OR A COLLEGE OF DENTISTRY. THERE MIGHT BE dentists there who are also training to have SPEC NEEDS KIDS AS PATIENTS. Also ask the Dr who prescribed the SSR's what you should do . Then go to ASK.com and search there. Or search for Dentists NEAR YOUR ZIP. ENTER YOUR ZIP. AND SEE if anything shows. You need to look for a pediatric dentist as our kids will be seen by pediatricians up to age 21. Actually come to think of it. You might go there first. To search for pediatric dentist in your area. That is all I can think of for now. I wish I cold be of more help. Please let me know how you do. Take care.DIVATECH
