My daughter has gone through stages where she would have an issue when I would leave, I wouldn't be able to say goodbye to her or let her know I was leaving or she wouldn't let me go. As her communication progressed, she was able to understand that I needed to go to work and then I would be coming back afterwards. She really stopped having issues with it when I started working first shift.
