Hi all! I currently live in Costa Rica, and I'm analyzing a job opportunity in Garland, TX. I'm very concerned about my son's therapies (ABA, speech and occupational) because here they are affordable, but in the U.S., from what I've heard, full-time therapy is almost unpayable if you don't have insurance. Ok, if I get the job I'll have insurance, too. BUT will they cover a preexisting condition such as my son's autism? Our daughter got insurance through Obamacare in Texas and her ADHD + ASD were pre-existing conditions. As you may know Pres. Trump has wanted to make changes so preexisting conditions may an issue but most of the talk is that preexisting conditions shouldn't bar people from getting insurance but they may raise their rates to cover costs.
