How do u know if your child needs ABA?
It’s usually the recommendation of the Dr who diagnosed. If it’s something you’re considering then you’d have an evaluation done just like with other services like speech and OT
My son is a 25 autistic with aggression and destructive behavior please help
Thank you so much, sorry for the late response.
We have been going back and forth. With our 25 year old son who is autistic, with aggressive behaviors. He was on respiradone and the doctor changed it to invega which worked for the first 7 days and then all hell broke loose whe. He started to become so hyperactive and was eating until he vomits. The doctor then changed him to sere quell which also did not work because of the side effect call ankathesia ( excuse the spelling) a state which he becomes like so hyper that he will not stay still… read more

My daughter and 2 of her classmates will soon "age-out" of our state's education program for special needs children. They have "behaviors" that will prevent them from obtaining and keeping a job. There are also no affordable facilities or programs for young adults in our area. As a group we would like to develop a program similar to the one they have at school but lack the funds. I've researched online but was only shown sites to obtain funding for chartering a school which is not what we… read more

My 5 year old son often asks me, "Is this a dream?". Do I need to be concerned about this? Is he not understanding reality vs. Fantasy? Could this be a sleep issue? Anyone else have this issue?
Thank you! We will implement the strategies suggested. I'm looking forward to seeing results.
Daughter will not use the toilet, she will sit there (no results). We have tried bribes(toys, candy, videos)panties, pullups, setting her potty chair in the living room, taking her every hour, but nothing seems to work. she doesn't seem to care that she's wet and she will wait and go in her diaper. Any sugestions?

I feel as though my little one who is 4yo is ready for toilet training. What can you do to help them hold in their pee, until reaching the bathroom? I can't have potties everywhere! although I'm tempted to do just that lol. He has a fear of the toilet, however he is way more open to the idea than his brother who withholds BMs. The little guy is quite conscious of when he has to go, and has held it for up to 10-15min, but only with a huge amount of effort and crying (days where daddy had to go… read more
