This is my first question here so apologies if I’m not utilizing this correctly. But, if you think you have any advice for me at all please answer; I’m desperate. My son has always been obsessed with scabs. This has never been alarming to me, although in retrospect it should have been. My son has now escalated to cutting himself for these scabs. It was a calming thing for my son to pick at scabs. We tried finding other things for him to do. The "chewy" sensory necklaces helped a bit. We glued velcro to the table by where he sits so he could pick it off. We bought every kind of fidget there was. He did like some of the slimes but it never totally stopped the picking. He's also allergic to the adhesive in bandaids so we couldn't just cover them up.

My son does the same, really bad when he had a mosquito bite. His doctor suggested the supplement MAC. It took a while to work but really seemed to help.
