Hi I live in the bronx myself and I've tried looking for salons but I haven't found any. I've been combing my daughter hair which is difficult. If you can't find anywhere maybe try watching some YouTube tutorials on how to comb or cut her hair . I wished they'd have special need salon all over because it is tough especially when you don't want your child walking around with messy hair. Best of luck with whatever you decide
