My son has a daughter who we believe is on the spectrum. However, his ex wife who is very alternative refuses to consent to an assessment, even privately. She is now seven years old. Does anyone know of any solutions when one partner refuses to go this route? She educates privately with very odd tutors etc and we are concerned about her progress in every way.
When you say on the spectrum. What do you notice? I need more info to have an opinion
from what i've researched myself (im in a situation similar to this) it all depends on the stipulation of either the divorce or separation.... centerforethicalpractice.org was one of resources i consulted....that might have something useful
Thanks Indie but two teachers have recommended an assessment and she took her daughter out of both schools on the basis of that. She refuses to see a doctor so its really difficult.
Maybe teacher or and doctor input advise will help. Someone she can trust?
