My nephew is three and I watch him after school while his mom works and on the weekends he was going to his GMA in the a.m and me afternoon cuz she works 12 hrs shifts. I said it made more sense to keep him one spot and he spends the night occasionally. He has spent the night at least 5-6 times...so his mother doesn't see him in person for 2 days n 1 night. She calls and texts all day .... Makes her feel like a bad mother for leaving him....even though he's in good hands and him and I are getting closer and closer. I'm going to say find a person you trust and take time away. You need you time and remember it takes a village to raise a child 😊

No alone time here. I went to a few functions like a birthday party But as far as leaving my son who's 22 years old with some one no thanks. My son is on medication and his dad doesn't thinks he needs it so if I were to do a weekend trip it wouldn't go well . One of the meds you have to be weaned off slowly and knowing my son's father he wouldn't give him any.

My husband and I have not done it because we really don’t have anyone who would do that for us but I bet my son would be absolutely fine with my mom and step dad. It would have to be someone close he knows . Hopefully we can do this some day ! πŸ˜ƒ
