My son has unzipped his pants and showed his penis at the park once and at the movies where an irate parent confronted me when he came out of the boys bathroom as told by her son that he showed him. I know he doesn't mean any harm but there are no family bathrooms so we can go in there together and I am scared this may happen again. He apologized but the parent wasn't hearing it. He did it behind closed areas not near a lot of people from my understanding. I felt humiliated both at the park… read more
Check out the book, "A Five is Against the Law." We've been using it with my 12 year old, because he blurts out threats in an attempt to be funny. He has been suspended due to school policy on the… read more
Does anyone else have a problem with their child licking any and everything? My daughter cannot seem to stop. It's as if she's compelled to do it. I'm at my wit's end. One of these days she's going to lick the wrong person/shopping trolley/toy and she's going to get seriously ill. Does anyone have any solutions for this issue?

What have you seen in the best summer programs? What are things we should be aware of? Things that are positive and negative about the experience?
Summer programs offered when school is not in session
I need to find a program to enroll my 3 year old son in for this coming summer. I don't want him to be without the "preschool" setting with other children for the whole summer. Just having trouble finding resources. Thank you!
Check out UNYFEAT's summer program at area YMCA camps.
We sent our child to Camp Excel. Go to www.campexcel.com sometime school will pay. Excellent program.
His school provides bare minimum with therapy. Our kids (only) were once on Medicaid and it seemed to provide pretty decent therapy throughout the week, however, with a pay bump at my job, and my wife now going back to work, we are just over the threshold for Medicaid. Private therapy is something that I know is worth it but again cannot simply afford it. Meanwhile our son has gone on 25min tangents in his classroom to the point where the teachers are growing intolerant. What are options for us… read more
