Does anyone know what brand weighted blanket and or the weights
My aunt is making me 2 weighted blankets for both of my kids. But u can find them on line.
I saw someone on here a few months ago, who maked weighted blankets. where can i get one that isnt crazy expensieve and hot, hypoallergenic?my son sweats alot gets over heated, is an eptileptic as well, but when I put a pillow on his chest, sometimes it calms him. Ive seen them on line for several hundred. uh, poor here? his teacher mentioned a mummy sleeping bag, but it would be too hot, he could have seizure

My son is piling on stuff on top of his bed on top of him every night and a friend just offered to pay for a weighted blanket. He loves deep pressure too, but also wears a weighted vest when at school that they provide. They also provide the pressure vest. I think the weight will help him sleep. He sleeps better with all the pile on him and cries if things fall off during the night.
EthanMom I was surprised today when Dream Catchers asked how tall my son was and actually recommened a heavier blanket than the 7lbs. They recommened 11 lbs for a full size or 9 for a twin

Ours is now 3 years old and looks as nice as it did on day ONE. Our daughter cannot sleep without it...even in the summer. I just wish I could get one for my King bed!!!
Just wanted to know if anyone has used a weighted blanket for their child. I think Makayla would really benefit from one. They are expensive, but i may ask my mom and dad if they would go in on one with me.

Unusual question but best place to ask it.. does anyone know if its safe to wash a weighted blanket in a FRONT load washer? Wife is worried the extra weight will damage the washer
I dry ours in the dryer! Both the boys have heavy ones. I do them one at a time on permanent press cycle.

My neurotypical teen just heard about weighted blankets and would like one. She LOVES the lead apron at the dentists office -- finds it super calming and soothing. She has been struggling with anxiety lately, so we are thinking this would help.
