I love sharing my son's success story in hope to inspire others.

We have had great progress with diet - gluten free, caseine free and soy free diet, and supplements. Also, Enhansa has been a HUGE help for my son. Not everything works for every child, but these interventions were game-changers for our family.
@A MyAutismTeam Member - Not a problem. There are GFCF versions of all of those foods. Hebrew National and Nathans hotdogs are fine. Plain salted rice cakes with peanutbutter and jelly are good. There are GF versions of crackers by Glutino or any rice cracker is fine. I buy soy cheese or veggie cheese and make a grilled cheese sandwich on GF bread. There are mixes to make bread yourself, but I always buy the packaged bread. Also, there are all kinds of cookies and snack foods out there too, and many mixes for making your own cakes, cookies, etc. I find everything in the "natural foods" section of the grocery store. I've been trying to decide what I'd like my next article to cover - I think you just answered that question for me - THANK YOU!!!
@A MyAutismTeam Member - I am absolutely delighted to help you! Have you read my article that specifically covers the GFCF diet yet? If not, give it a read whenever you get a sec, and then let me know what foods your little one likes and I'll help you make them GFCF http://www.examiner.com/special-needs-kids-in-w.... :-)
Yes I have to agree that the yeast die off step is the worst but once they get past it it is just amazing!
Happy to connect on FB too. Jacqueline Gauthier Enhansa is an amazing anti-inflammatory made from highly refined curcumin (tumeric) that also has yeast fighting properties. It is well-studied and though hard at first (because of yeast and viral die off issues) brought sentances when my little boy was only speaking one word/two word phrases. It takes fierce determination and trust to get through the die off period because the kids seem worse for a time. Google it and I think I have some attatchment info on the research - if you want it, let me know!
When I see someone say diet changes did nothing, I am convinced that it is being implemented incorrectly. Please don't take offense. So many think they can skip the research and just buy gfcf labeled processed foods and then say week that didn't work. You must research, there is a steep learning curve. I can point you in the right direction, but I can't do the work for you. Read articles on Dr. Osborn blog about gluten to start. Check out the blog post I wrote on how I implemented a gluten free diet, it's at Bearshirt.org click on the tab on top that says the Autism Diet and learn from my successes. Use these resources as a jumping off point Rio your own diet journey.
