My son's OT recently brought us Cecil the toy snake.

He loves deep pressure and is HYPER. The kid runs around the house like a mad man constantly! He recently started a kids day out program and unless it is watercoloring, he wants NOTHING to do with sitting still in one place. We have slowly introduced Cecil this week, and BOY let me tell you... it made a WORLD of difference. He can put it in his lap, wrap it on his shoulders, or lay it across his belly for nap time. It was worth it!

I haven't used one but thinking about it. Our oldest dislikes his weighted blanket but our youngest loves his. Oldest has aspergers, youngest asd.

I agree with Kelly.. each child is very different.. my son loved pressure and weighted anything... But alot of his peers and friends disliked them greatly... Its an individual thing very worth looking into.. If its something they are receptive to, it is a great tool!
