I Love That My 3 Yo Is Very Inquisitive, However He Never Shuts Up And Doesn't Settle Until You Give Him An Answer.
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

He asks questions that he knows the answers to or he will ask a new question and "I don't know" is not an option. He will scream the question until he gets what he wants.

My 10 year old grandson was doing this and it was getting INCREASINGLY worse! When I asked him what he wanted for breakfast I would have to give him the entire contents of the pantry and fridge before he would make up his mind. Now, I don't ask. He gets what I make! This was an expensive Bday gift but I bought him an iPod with an app called "Ask Siri". She is a Godsend! She will answer any question he asks PLUS more difficult questions from the internet. He also gets apps when he he does well at school, does his chores without asking, showers without going thru WWIII. Life is good!

LOL. My 14 yr. old still does this. Get use to it. I tell him I need a time out, that he can ask more later. Or I tell him he can only ask so many and then he has to go do something else. Good luck. =)

We are dealing with this too. Sometimes I can say "I don't know, but I will find out for you when we go home." If that doesn't suffice, make up something intelligent. Chances are he won't know the difference :)

My 8yr old girl with Aspergers still does this. She will ask questions that she already knows the answer to. Repeatedly. I think its a way for her to make conversation when she doesn't know what to say. I often say back "Do you already know the answer to that question?" Then she will say yes and we can move on to something else.

Answer the question the first time. The second time, ask him why he's asking again. If he screams at you, tell him that you will not answer him when he yells. It's very tiring to scream so eventually he will stop. You just must be prepared to endure it. Once he learns that you will not give in to the screaming blackmail, he will stop.
