Does Anyone Know If Kaiser Pays For Interactive Metronome Therapy
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

This looks like it would be great for James but we can't afford it. Anyone have success getting Kaiser to pay?

there may be some hope! i just got kaiser to approve my son's ABA therapy! they're contracting it out to our local Easter Seals organization... maybe with the new law SB946, Kaiser is finally making some progress. Good Luck!

from what i've been told, the regional center around here won't even consider you for services if you're high-functioning and verbal. all their services seem to be for the lower functioning, non-verbal (aka, the ones that 'really' need it) -sigh-

Won't your regional center pay for social skills classes?

My son and i have kaiser in NorCal and I've never had any luck getting Kaiser to pay for anything outside of their services (which are severely limited). I pay out of pocket for any social skills classes, etc. if anyone has had any luck with Kaiser, please share your secret! :)
