There ARE people, you could try asking local public school districts to advertise for you and also churches, libraries, shopping stores, disability service organizations etc... In Glen Ellyn, IL which is too far for me to attend they have a group like this and she was actually able to turn a small apartment like area into a sensory playroom!

Thank you everyone for your kind words! It is really encouraging. We are having trouble finding people, but I am trying to stay optimistic! I think it could be a great program!

How I wish we had something like this in San Diego. NAMI has support groups for young adults, but none of them quite fit Grandson's Asperger's.

I'm in greater Hartford area and would love to have something like that closer for my two children with autism.
