Gluten Free Casein Free Supplements
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have been looking for a GFCF supplement like pediasure or boost kids essentials. Does anyone know of any or used one? Thanks :) The boost is Gluten and Lactose free but not completely dairy free.

I buy my childten's supplements from Kirkman Labs. They design all of their products specifically with the ASD kids in mind. The vitamin capsules or powders mix well with non-dairy juice or milk and I typically dispense through a 10 mL dispenser, but I imagine the powders would mix well into a homemade smoothie of some sort.

Blue Diamond is an almond milk that is gluten and casein free. It comes in different flavors. My son hates milk and we are trying to start him on the GFCF diet and he loves it. You can find it at a normal grocery store but it's on a shelf, not in the refridgerated section by the normal milk

There is a product called E028 Splash that is recommended in one of the ASD nutrition books I read. It is pretty pricey, however, and I've personally decided to give my DD non-dairy milks and then just try to get her to eat a nutritious diet. https://www.neocate.com/shop/p-24-e028-splash.aspx?

If you are looking for weight gain, I would look into healthy fats like avocado, coconut oil, chickne & beef fat, bacon fat and incorporate broths into the foods for all the vitamins and minerals and also buy some water kefir grains for probiotics and overall detoxification. Check out the gapsdiet.com -- will improve health for sure!
