Does Anyone Know Where To Find Double Wide Shoes In Youth Size For Boys?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

My son has been a toe walker since the age of two. It has become increasingly hard to find double wide shoes as the size goes up. They also need to be good quality because they break down very fast and offer no support. I was shopping at stride rite but since he is in the big kids shoe size now, the pickings are scarce..

My son also has very wide feet. New Balance makes children's extra wide shoes. They are typically only available in sneaker styles, and have to be special ordered. I'm very lucky we have a small family owned shoe store in our area that stocks some EW's, but I would imagine you could find what you need on the New Balance website if there is nothing local. Good luck, hope I helped. ;)

Someone told me just this weekend that they buy hard to find sized shoes through a catalog called East bay for their son. Here is a link

Kingashoes.com is the only place I found with extra wide shoes. They are expensive but orthopedic and last through bouncing, jumping, running and attempted toe walking.

For a while my son wore a lot of crocs. Now he does New Balance and we have sound some (believe it or not) regular Nike running shoes that are naturally wide enough for him. They fit almost like socks.

if you have a nordstrum rack in your area they carry a variety of shoes, you may however have to try the smaller men sizes. I had just the opposite my son was 14 when his foot size took off could not find him anything for two yrs decided to take him out of sneakers ,he loves any shoe now as long as it is soft soled soft toped and preferibly slip on's. He is very hard on his feet. Something I hope you can help me with. I have posted to several people on the site, but the last two items on my profile I am not able to get out of any suggestions ? have not even seen my question listed Tomanda
