Wish you were here inWashington we have a great school here.
Have you looked on www.city-data.com ? I guarantee someone's posted that question. (It's a good place to start while you're waiting to hear from other people in Atlanta.) When I moved to Washington, I found some good feedback on where to look for a school district at that website.
Here are a few postings I found on city-data on the subject:

For what it's worth, I have now moved twice with 2 kids on the spectrum. The first time I moved I was completely ignorant to programs, etc... and I got an excellent one for my son.
For the second move, I thought I did all the research, I contacted the professionals (principals, school psychologists, etc) and felt really good about moving to the district I moved into. However, once I got here, NOTHING worked out. My son couldn't get the therapy he needed and he hated the preschool, my daughter got a little help, but not near what she needed. Point is, I prepared, had people tell me they'd help me, did all my research and it still ended up being a matter of working everything out once I got here.
Best of luck to you! And I hope someone can point you in the right direction!
