She's enrolled in Detroit public schools but I would like to know if there are other schools that have programs for autistic children outside of Detroit. I'm giving Detroit a chance, but I do want to keep my options open.
Contact The Hope Center at Beaumont (I think that's the one in Southfield) and ak them for specific resource. They're the big Autism center in Michigan to my understanding. We just weren't there long enough after my son was diagnosed to use them and we had Early On.

Yes there are At Oakland University in Rochester there is a great program called OU cares and there is a great guy there Bill Nason who coaches soccer and basketball int he fall/winter and also does speaches in autism. He is a Psychologist and has studied autism for many years has a FB page called Autism Discussion Page I will attach the link he has also written 2 very good books about Autism

the guidance center in southgate is very helpful in directing you to the right places. you also may contact the michigan disibilty protection & advocacy center...they can help w/ schools legal obligations.
