We started "rewarding" our son with the foods he would rather eat, AFTER he has eaten some of what we've made or what he wouldn't choose on his own. I also have taken him shopping with me (he's 8 1/2) to help select what will go in his lunches and what he will have for snacks. It's a lot of hit and miss though, and some days are better than others definitely. He make sure he gets three glasses of milk each day, and takes a multi-vitamin. He won't drink the instant breakfast stuff at all. Good luck!

I have to say that switching to a gluten- and casein-free diet really helped with my DD eating a variety of foods. I was so worried about trying GFCF because she was so picky and most of her favorites were wheat- and/or dairy heavy. But once I actually made the switch, she started eating things that she had previously refused. I really do think there is something to the opiates theory, where kids get addicted to the "high" that the gluten/dairy proteins cause in the brain, to the point where that's all they want.

We have done the Chocolate instant Breakfast drinks. It has calcium and taste pretty good. And I give it to my daughter who deos not have any difficulties as well. Seeing one of them drinking it might make the other fall in toe. If she likes Tomato soup as well then the V8 juices are fantastic! Mine loves tomato soup as well so we told him it was Cold Tomato soup. He Loves it now. I even put a "Cool" straw in it. Creativity works best for mine. His imagination is at its best these days so we make up cool stories that go with his food or ask him to help make it, and eating time has become a more comfortable place. Hope you find something that works and Good Luck in your daily adventures!

I found that I get my son to first eat fruit (and although limited to grapes, apples he recently started eating strawberries, but you can also try just putting on the side of the plate something else you want your child to try and keep doing it, you may hear screams of protest and they may not eat it but if you keep trying just one day they may try it! Also vitamins (gummy ones work or the drops in juice) and V8 vegetable fruit juices, I mix it with the HiC - my son drinks it - usually..lol
