Be cautious with it because Dr. Michael Goldberg has some disturbing pictures in his book "The Myth of Autism" showing brain scans of his patients who had previously undergone HBOT and patients who had not. There was evidence of brain damage in the patients who had undergone HBOT. Our biomed dr. does not perform nor recommend HBOT.
HBOT does has certain levels that you can treat your child. We did mild. For my son I did not really see a difference, but other parents who were also doing HBOT treatment with my son did see a huge difference. One of my son's classmate did HBOT and swore by it, so thats why I looked into it. I went and had treatment done.
Yah thats a big risk.. HBOT is known to have some curative properties but at a very high risk... as stated above it can cause brain damage and a plethora of other problems... research research research would be my advice.. and personally is it worth it? No.
For my son it didnt but I only did it 2 months. There were other children there and one of them did not have autism but was not verbal, and his mother swore after 2weeks her son started speaking in sentences. I did not see any differences. I did the treatment over a yr ago for about 2 months. Now my son is speaking in sentences and he will be seven soon.
Yasmine, did it make a difference for your son? Just curious... I'm not familiar with it.
