we live in Ft. Myers. I was not thrilled w/ our school at first, but now I am quite happy with it. They have a communication-based curriculum, which has really helped him a lot. I am also happy to see more medical programs coming into the area, although I think there is still room for more.

@amandahah we are moving to the Naples/Ft Myers area in 2 months. My son is 12. Do you know which town is better for high functioning autism adolescents? Thanks! I also need recommendations for a pediatrician and psychiatrist!

I live in Tallahassee. My son, who was diagnosed with ASD in April 2011, was recently denied any services from the public school system. From what I understand from other parents, once you are approved, the services are excellent. But like everything else in ASD world, you have to fight!
