My son started toe walking as soon as he was able to walk. He is now 9 and has gone throughy botox and casting a couple of times and therapy. It has now gotten to the point where he now needs surgery for his arches and his heel cords. They will go in and stretch them both surgically. They may need to do bone work from his feet starting to look or turn (very different looking for feet). Hello, Just thought I would give a update on my son. He did fabulous and is currently still flat. It will be almost a year this December and I think he is much happier! He can actually stay still without always having to be in constant motion and much less falling. If I was able to go back I would pick the surgery for him. Thanks for the help and support!
This is odd because the high functioning twin toe walks, but the non verbal twin with autism does not. I am having more issues with the high functioning twin concerning this matter because as you said, the surgery is the next step and nobody in the family is behind that idea and want to investigate other things.
