I am not sure about adults, but as far as kids go it is NJ, we were in Florida and the best two states were NJ and MA for autism services

My wife just did some internet searches for providers and for services, then she went to each of the state4s that came up the best and then checked with the state agencies to see what was covered and what wasn't. I know it took her a long time to reasearch.

We ended up in MA because we are from here ordigianally and knew the area, but also MA has mandatory Health insurance, so if you cannot afford it the state pays for it. Since the kids are both considered disabled because they are autistic, they automatically qualified. Now they are not even under my private insurance, they are totally under Mass Health which means we have no co pays or persription costs at all for them.

Well it appears that NY is better for adults, I finally found the answer after many hours of research. I too moved from FL after 18 yrs. Now in NJ for 2 mos. but moving to NY as soon as I find a place.... thanks!

What was your source for that information? We are trying to research California for services but nothing on Autism has come up in my Google search. To evak77
