I would suggest looking into colleges in your area, especially ones with early childhood degree programs. They may know of resources that could be helpful. Also, a developmental psychologist can diagnose your child, so you don't have to go with a pediatrician specifically.

I live in Kansas, so I don't know the specifics in your area, but the law requires that the state provide some assistance to you for therapy services. It is called Tiny-k or infant toddler services in most states. My son was evaluated by a developmental psychologist contracted through our local infant toddler services. You may want to start there. A normal pediatrician's office should have information for the local services for you.
