Just call for an IEP meeting , you can always request one anytime. The school district has to address the problem . they need to find a new teacher if this teacher cannot teach your kid or change the school (you can always tour the schools before they assign you one).

Bottom Line: The Federal gov gives funds to schools who have special ed programs. These schools get money because of our kids. They better work for the money they get.

U can ask for a diff teacher or ask for aba services during class hrs.

@A MyAutismTeam Member, I agree. My son likes this class and he looks forward to go to school. It took us 1 yr to get him to like going here. I don't care too much abt what he learns academically there it is mostly for peer play and social interaction. I am happy he can finish here. Thank you for your concern.

No problem. I'm glad he is at least able to finish out the school year. :>) At least in the fall he will have plenty of time to get use to his environment. Making a change now would be a little scary for anyone.
