What Sort Of Tests/evaluations And How Many Did Your Child Have Before An Aspergers Diagnosis?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

My 4.5 year old little girl was seen by a psycoligist. We filled out some questionnaires and he saw her for about 40 minutes just asking her to do simple tasks. She tested average to above average in all areas but stated that based on the answers to the questionnaires she had a high problable rate for Aspergers. His report just included a lot of "mother stated" statements. How could he possibly know for sure?

If your child has a lot of autism markers but is HFA or doesn't show many in one of the three areas of testing 9I forget which) them many dianosticians will go with aspbergers.

CBP-we had an initial appt. where he took all her history and asked me a lot of questions. He had me fill out some questionnaires then we had a second appt where he saw her for about 40 min. Then the last appt were the results.

Thanks to everyone for your response.
