Unusual Issues?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

My son has been doing a few things lately that are unusual for him and because of this I'm getting a little concerned. He's not on any medication except for Melatoin which he takes 6 mgs of at night. He has asthma but no other heath issues.

The other day we were standing in line at the store and he just fell down for no apparent reason, like he had tripped over something but he hadn't. And then I was getting him out of his booster seat in the car and he was just starring into space, he has… read more

It seems like a concern worthy of checking with his doctor. I would wonder if it was some type of seizure activity going on.

Just as an update. It wasn't a seizure according to the doctor and it hasn't happened again.

I used to teach pre-school and this happened with a few of my "kids" one of them had not been DX'd with anything (but, she was autistic the parents had 6 kids lots of $ and they were much in denial) and the other was your typical 4 1/2 yr old boy. In both cases it was a seizure. The boy had epilepsy. The girl (3 seizures later)we would not let come back to my class until she was seen by a doc. She was evaluated and DX'd w/ autism. She graduated and they moved so I do not know why she had seizures. I would take my son to see the dr. ASAP. I hope everything is o.k. keep us updated .

Glad to hear it wasn't a seizure! Unfortunatley for my son it was. He is okay. He only had 1 grand mal seizure and has not had one since 2011!
