It's different for every kid. I know a family where the GFCF diet made a huge difference. It did not for my son. Chelation made no difference. B12 shots helped for a while and then no longer made a difference. Mega-vitatmins and supplements made him healthier but made no difference for the autism. I think Autism is caused by more than one thing which is probably why biomedical works for some kids but not all. I still think every parent so try biomedical treatments because its an non-invasive "less" expensive approach than the therapies.

We just started the biomed Dan! Protocol about 1 1/2 months ago. Gfcfsf diet. We are seeing some changes. It takes time. It can be expensive because insurance does not cover it. Plus many blood tests, urine tests, stool tests. You have to be committed to the diet and with the meds. It can be hard to give meds to a toddler. I feel that it is worth a chance. My son's lab were not bad but he was deficient in vit d3, and his thyroid is off and few other blood work was off. His stool and urine showed yeast. Plus he has clostridium in his stool, bacteria. We are going to repeat some blood work and urine again and to see if there is metal. It can be overwhelming but this diagnosis and tring to get services for my son, which was just diagnosis in January of this year is all overwhelming to us.

The biggest gains we have seen have been from Behavior Balance DMG, acetyl-l-carnitine, coenzyme Q10, and treating yeast with Nystatin. GFCF made a big difference physically (she had a dramatic "catch-up" weight and height gain) but it did not help with the ASD. Low phenol diet made her even more hyper when we tried that. The methyl B12 injections have caused a mild acceleration in the rate of her improvement. The next thing her biomed dr. Is planning to try is Oxytocin spray.

There's a few doctors who do biomed that takes insurance, even medicaid, so many test can be cover too. It takes a little bit of research to find those doctors who work with your insurance...calls and more calls. The first doctor we found that accept medicaid was 2 hours from home but we took the trip, then she got a few clients at my area and she decided to open an office here and she comes once a week. If you have a toddler I will recommend you to focus on the treatment rather than services...I wish I knew this years ago.

I've seen amazing results with bio med...we started with HBOT, then GF/CF diet, chelation, vitamins, GcMAF, NAET, and we almost got a stem cells treatment overseas. It seems overwhelming but with a good doctor who can guide you it's easier than you think. You need to be patient and you may spend quite some money depending on your insurance, but go ahead. Don't hesitate at all... it's so worth it. My only regret it's that I didn't started before. Good Luck.
