My 24 Year Son With AS Needs A Job But Has Great Difficulties In Following Directions. Is There Kind Of Therapy That Can Help Him?
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

After 2 trial work sessions, a govt agency (DARS) determined that he is incapable of competitive employment. He was fired from the 2 jobs that he has had in the past. Things seem hopeless.

I would check in your area to see where adults with disabilites go to school. They usually have someone to help access your child & find an employer.

Thank you Nancy. I will google "vocational rehab" state of Texas.

Do you have a Vocational Rehab division of your state's disability services department? The one here offers job coaching and job shadowing which could be helpful. Also someone to help him find a job which uses his strengths but does not require him to be in a competitive stressful setting - maybe he could work at night, or at home doing something with computers. A job coach could help.
