Try calling the office of your state Governor. They are supposed to guarantee that bullying gets addressed. Write or call your local congressman as well. Don't give up.

Actually contact an education Lawyer in your area. They will help seeing as your child has ASD.

Call the local news...or at least tell the school district you're going to call them...and the DA in your area. That will get them scrambling.

To be honest I have been through this and ended up banging my head against the wall! The schools won't admit to it because then they are liable, the school board is the same, if it is a sexual assault or beating you have to prove they were bein harassed prior for them to look at it as bullying, and the news media wants the Outragious story! When I contacted them they told me that they had many bully stories.. But two days later they did a story about the school not supplying a wheelchair for a child.. My daughter was beaten in Kindergarten and is going into the 4th grade and still they have yet to put a plan in her IEP for social skills and bullying! And it is still happening! I am sorry to say that I feel you Should NOT back down.. But it will be frustrating! Good Luck!
