Should I get him a second diagnosis? What should I do? Where can I get a second diagnosis?

I would recommend getting a second opinion from a different type of specialist so that your insurance is more likely to pick up the tab for it. Our insurance paid for a consultation with a pediatric neurologist after the original diagnosis by a developmental pediatrician. A pediatric psychiatrist or a neuropsychologist is also qualified to give a diagnosis.

It depends on our insurance. If you have Medicaid and you go and get a second opinion youll have to pay for the diagnosis.
