I Need Help Finding A Daycare In The Rosenberg/Richmnond, TX Area.
A MyAutismTeam Member asked a question 💭

My 6 year old son has Asperger's and ADHD and the daycare he was in can no longer handle his outbursts. They said they were "structured" and followed a schedule but everytime I popped in it was chaotic and they were not doing what was on their schedule, so of course my son had a hard time there. Can anyone please give me names of people or a facility that wouyld work for my son?

Before my son was dianosed we had the same problem. I don't know if the daycare specialized with children with disabilities, but i do know that you have to remember a lot of these child care today are not equipped to handle children with disabilities. So your going to run into the same problem over and over again, because we went through 3 or 4 daycares before my husband said he had enough and decided to stay home with cameron. once cameron was diagnosed last year after my heart surgery I decided to take some time off from work and cater to his needs. But moving forward you may went to look into
1. American Autism Asssciation for your state
2.Division of Developmental Disabilities
3.I don't know if you applyed for social security under them they have a list of medically necessary services that you may need for instance:
a.Personal Care Assistant
b. Medical Day Care and etc.
Now all three that I have listed above if you give them a call they can help you. Do not take no as a final answer be persistent and demanding state the facts your childcare provider can know longer handle your son so therefore you need a personal care assistant for him. You may want to go to your sons general doctor or specialty doctor and have them request a personal care assistant for your son, because of his medical diagnoses he needs someone to be with him during the day. and also you may want to go on autism speak website or give them a call they can help you find providers such as daycare centers or day programs that your son can go to in your area. Hope this information was helpful to you. GOD Bless You
