i have 7yr old twins one with ASD the other becoming more and more out of control when it come times to step in and i try time outs i get meltdowns and the other rns around screaming so high pitched i swear windows will break and will not sit in time out what are some ideas to seperate them and get them to sit in time out or some way of time out to show i mean bizz about the fighting and tearing house apart????
they used to respond to rewards they dont care about rewards we have tryed every kind of reward just doesnt seem to work
My son does the same thing with TO. It just doesn't work. We are working with his SLP and OT to find solutions. The reward thing is the biggest element but I'm not going to lie its harder to do then it sounds so get professional support setting something like that up. Get real honest with yourself about what you can really stay on top of.
I also have the bonus of having to work to get my husband to stop setting such a bad example. He
