We use a spiral bracelet that usually is used for a key chain. It can be hooked to a retractable key chain holder so it's out of the way when not being chewed on. Our Grand son is also 4 and we spent 3 days pumping him full of fluids and taking potty every 15 minutes. If he had an accident we told him it was not ok to potty in the kitchen or what ever room the accident happened.

My 6 year old sucks/chews his shirt when he is experiencing high anxiety. I wish I could help more.

Look into PharmaNAC. It is a supplement that has shown in efficacy in autism in double blind studies in reducing repetitive behaviors. It is also studied with respect to nail biting and skin picking.

It is always a good idea to get a dental checkup anytime an ASD person has an increase in oral stim behaviors.
