Do most ASD kids have behavior issues? How do you tell a normal tantrum from a behavior issue?

Having tantrums of greater frequency and intensity than typical for her age was one of the "red flags" that prompted me to seek an evaluation for my DD. She's my 3rd kid and I've done lots of babysitting and nannying over the years so I knew that her behavior was more serious than just the normal "terrible 2's". The good news is that her behavior improved pretty dramatically after she gained communication skills and we started her in on the "sensory diet". She still sometimes has meltdowns but overall her behavior is way better than it was a couple years ago.
